CES 2021: HP launches eight new Intel-based laptops along with wireless earbuds

HP has launched a bunch of laptops and other devices at its CES 2021 event. The list includes new HP Envy 14, HP Elite Dragonfly G2, HP Elite Dragonfly Max laptops, HP Elite Wireless Earbuds and Elite Folio tablet PC.

The Envy 14 (2021) model starts at $999 (roughly Rs. 73,300) and features a 14-inch WUXGA IPS screen alongside Intel 11th-gen Core i5 processor and up to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti GPU. You also get Bang and Olufsen audio in addition to dual speakers and backlit keyboard. The laptop is backed by a 4-cell 63.3 Wh Li-ion battery.

The Elite range of laptops include Elite Dragonfly G2 and Elite Dragonfly Max, EliteBook 840 Aero G8, EliteBook x360 1030 G8, EliteBook x360 1040 G8 and HP Elite x2 G8. The prices of these are yet to be revealed. In the lineup, Elite Dragon G2 and HP Elite Dragonfly Max are convertible laptops that feature Intel 11th-gen Core processors and 13.3-inch display. The Elite Dragonfly G2 gets Bang & Olufsen audio and a 720p HD camera. The Elite Dragonfly Max features four wide-range microphones along with a 5-megapixel IR web cam.

The EliteBook x360 1030 G8 and EliteBook x360 1040 G8 also include Intel Tiger Lake processors. While the EliteBook x360 1030 G8 has a 13.3-inch FHD/UHD screen, the EliteBook x360 1040 G8 boasts of a 14-inch FHD/UHD screen. Both can be configured with up to 32GB of RAM and up to 2TB of SSD storage.

The Elite x2 G8 gets the same Intel 11th-gen Core processor along with up to 16GB RAM and up to 2TB SSD storage. It is backed by a 47Whr battery and has a 13-inch screen. HP EliteBook 840 G8 Aero, too features the same processor along with up to 64GB RAM, up to 2TB of SSD storage and 720p HD camera.

HP’s Elite Folio tablet PC will be coming to select markets in February this year. The pricing has not been revealed yet. You get Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 5G processor in this, in addition to 13.5-inch display, HD web cam, Bang & Olufsen audio and Wi-Fi 6 support like others mentioned above. It can be configured with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. The Elite Folio tablet PC also comes with an Elite Slim Active Pen.

Lastly, the Elite Wireless Earbuds boast of Bluetooth v5 support, 8 grams weight for each bud and 9.2mm driver size. The buds with case take around 120 minutes to fully charge.
