In an era of 65W and other high-speed charging, Apple’s lightning chargers may seem underwhelming. The company tried to catch up with the trends last year when it launched iPhone 11 series with 18W charging support. This year, Apple will further improve the speed with support for 20W charging.
Interestingly, live photos of Apple’s 20W power adapter have already surfaced online. These photos were posted by leakster Mr White on Twitter.
If the images are to be believed, the new power adapter will look very similar to the last year’s. It further reveals the charger supports the popular USB Type-C port on one side. The company is likely to bundle USB-C to Lightning cable in the retail box.
It is right not clear right now if all models under iPhone 12 series will support 20W charging speed.
As said earlier, Apple brought 18W fast charging support to iPhones last year. The company, however, bundled an underwhelming 5W charger with the iPhone 11. Users needed to buy the 18W charger separately. The premium iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max were bundled with a fast charger.
EarPods bundle
Apart from a new power adapter, Apple is reportedly going to skip bundling its wired EarPods with the iPhone 12 series. The move is said to help Apple push sales of wireless AirPods which have become the most popular TWS earbuds in the world.

Apple is expected to launch as many as four phones under its iPhone 12 series. This may include iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Max, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max. The smartphones are expected to offer screen sizes between 5.4-inches to 6.1-inches. The iPhone 12 series will have OLED displays with smaller notches. You can also expect Apple’s next-generation A14 Bionic chipset and 5G support.
