Facebook adds three new directors to its Partnerships team in India

Facebook has expanded its partnerships team in India. The company has hired industry veterans Francis Jose, Manohar Hotchandani and Paras Sharma, who will be leading various avenues of the company’s growth team in India. They will be reporting to Manish Chopra, who is the Director and Head of Partnerships at Facebook India.

Talking about the new additions, Paras Sharma will be the Director for Media Partnerships and lead the charter across News, Entertainment, Sports and Music verticals for both Facebook and Instagram. He has nearly 23 years of experience with global media organizations such as Viacom CBS Asia, Fox International Channels and ESPN Star Sports wherein he worked across various functions including media, creative, content production, acquisition and programming, OTT platforms, marketing and business management.

Francis Jose, on the other hand, has joined Facebook as the new Director of Mobile and Connectivity Partnerships for India. He will focus on engagements across the Telecom, ISP and Mobile devices industries in India. Prior to joining Facebook, he worked with Samsung India Electronics. Apart from Samsung, Jose has also worked with companies such as Blackberry, Reliance Communications, Airtel, Aptech and BPL Mobile.

The third addition to Facebook’s team is Manohar Hotchandani, who has joined as the Director of Business Development and will be working across multiple opportunities in India, with a keen focus on growing Gaming, Commerce, AR/VR. Prior to joining Facebook, he was working with Amazon where he led the Alexa voice service (AVS) business post a long stint at Microsoft across multiple roles.
