Google's Nexus One phone was one of the most anticipated devices that the New Year was kicked in with. Now that the smartphone has been launched, it has left many unhappy. Consumer complaints include bad 3G connectivity, poor customer support from Google and worse, problems with the touchscreen.
The device keeps switching to the slower EDGE network, some complain. The Nexus One was Google's first device to be sold by the search company itself, instead of a manufacturing partner.
The handset, which runs Android 2.1, has been designed by HTC and retails for $180 (₹8,205) with a 2-year contract with T-Mobile. An unlocked version is available for $530 (₹24,160), which will work on other GSM phone networks worldwide. It is only available through the online Google store.
