Apple registers a new website, domain name drops a major hint on what's coming

Apple has already taken baby steps in the world of video streaming and publishing with Apple TV+ and several deals signed with popular actors. However, it may have larger plans in future as it now has acquired a new domain name called AppleOriginalProductions.com. As found in WHOIS record, Apple obtained the domain name on Thursday. Also, the record's domain information shows Apple Inc. as the registrant organization. 

It has been added that the registrar for this is CSC Corporate Domains, a firm that has the sole job of protecting domain names from companies. Right now, there’s no much information about this other than the domain name itself, it does come at a time when Apple signed first-look TV and movie deals with top actors and their production houses.

As mentioned by Macrumours, the iPhone maker has signed deals with Leonardo DiCaprio's Appian Way production company, Robert Downey Jr. and Susan Downey's Team Downey production company and filmmaker Martin Scorsese. In addition to this, the company is already working on several TV shows and movies for its Apple TV+ platform.

Talking about Apple TV+, the firm has announced animated series 'Harriet the Spy' with Beanie Feldstein in lead. The show, based on Louise Fitzhugh's classic children's book series of the same name, has received a series order from the streamer. Besides Feldstein, actors Jane Lynch and Lacey Chabert will also voice featured in the series, Apple TV+.

This year, in June, Apple announced its tvOS 14 during its virtual WWDC 2020 conference.
