Apple is expected to bring three new smartwatches this year - most likely the standard Apple Watch Series 8, a new rugged model like a Pro, and a low-cost Apple Watch SE.

Leaks suggest that the standard Apple Watch Series 8 models may get the same design as the Apple Watch Series 7. However, if we talk about the size options, analyst Ross Young tipped Apple Watch 2022 is set to feature a five percent larger display than Apple Watch Series 7, while the rugged version will feature a larger screen and a metal casing. Not just that, it is expected to get 7 percent more screen area than the 45mm Apple Watch Series 7. The Pro Rugged version of the series is aimed at athletes, hikers and all the sports enthusiasts.

MacRumors report suggested the Apple Watch Series 8 will feature an S8 chip that is said to have the same specs as the S7. That means, no major upgrade in terms of speed. Instead, there are rumours about features that will make the Watch Series 8 an upgraded and important launch of the year in the smartwatch segment.

Analyst Mark Gurman earlier tipped that it may feature a dedicated body temperature sensor that can detect if the user has a fever or not. Besides this, Sleep detection, Blood Glucose Monitoring, Blood Pressure measurement, and a lot more activity tracking are expected to get on Apple Watch Series 8.

The whole new Apple Watch Series 8 along with the iPhone 14 series are expected to launch on September 7, famous tipster Bloomberg's Mark Gurman suggested. However, the news is yet to be confirmed officially by Apple itself.
