Mi Watch Lite key specifications revealed ahead of the official launch

Xiaomi is working on a new smartwatch. Said to be an affordable alternative to Mi Watch, the upcoming smartwatch has made an early appearance on the FCC website. The listing reveals key specifications and design of what is being dubbed as Mi Watch Lite.

The upcoming Mi Watch Lite comes with a square display module and a button on the right edge, according to the listing. The wearable is also seen with a silicone watch strap. The smartwatch is said to come with a 1.41-inch colour display with HD resolution. It also has 24-hour heart-rate tracking and built-in GPS. The wearable will come with a swim-proof design as well.

Mi Watch Lite is said to run on a 230mAh battery with 5W charging support. The watch is compatible with phones running on Android 4.4 or iOS 10 and above. It supports wireless connectivity through Bluetooth 5.1. Other features on the wearable are multiple fitness modes and screen auto-brightness.

According to GSMArena, the FCC listing shows the device sporting REDMIWT02 model number. It suggests the wearable could launch with Redmi-branding in some markets. The wearable was previously spotted on UL Demko and MIIT certification websites as well.

That said, Xiaomi recently launched Mi Watch Color Sports Edition with 117 sports modes. The wearable comes with a larger 1.39-inch AMOLED screen. It also features an Always-On display with more than 100 watch faces. The wearable features 117 sports modes for running, treadmill, cycling, swimming, and more. It has a SpO2 sensor, 24-hour heart rate monitor, and PPG sensor. It can also monitor stress, sleep and offer breathing exercises. Mi Watch Color Sports Edition is available in China for CNY 699, which is ₹7,700 approximately.
