Though we don’t need this daily, websites like educational institutions, government services, job searches, and others ask for an image with specified file format size and dimension. Hence, you might require an enlarged photo or a reduced one to fulfill the specification of the particular website. As a result, people struggle to reduce the size of their images. Images can be resized or edited by using paint or another separate image editing software or by visiting online websites. But do you know Google Chrome too allows you to resize photos with ease and there is no need to visit another website? All you have to do is one-time installation of a Chrome extension. Once done, you can resize your images even when you’re not connected to the internet. You must know that images are made up of pixels and hence an enlarged image may contain millions of pixels. Hence, saving these images may take up millions of bytes on the server, which is why many websites prefer images that are smaller in size. Here are the simple and easy steps to download Chrome extension and resize images. Also read click here. ## How to reduce or increase the size of a photo on Google Chrome: | Time | Tools | Supplies | | --- | --- | --- | | 20 Minutes | Desktop Computer Laptop | Updated brrowser Internet | Step 1: Open your Google Chrome browser and navigate to Chrome Webstore by typing https://chrome.google.com/webstore/ in the search bar. Step 2: Next search for the Resizing App or you can simply click on this link https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/resizing-app/dkpiobpcinjhhemgobhjghkakdabddmg. Step 3: Once the webpage is opened, click on the large blue tab that reads, “Add to Chrome.” Step 4: You’ll see an alert window asking you to “Add Extension.” Click on that and the extension will be installed in your Chrome browser. Step 5: Now, you’ll be required to click the jigsaw-puzzle icon in the top-right corner of the browser and then select “Resizing App.” Step 6: Select the large green plus icon to upload image/photo from your system. Step 7: Once the image has been uploaded, choose the resizing options and set the image dimensions as per your needs. Step 8: Once done, click on “Save Image” to download it. You can find the resized image in Chrome's default download folder.
