Samsung’s next major smartphone launch will take place on August 5 and it will be the Galaxy Note 20 series. Before that, Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy M31s in India later this month.
This smartphone will succeed the Galaxy M31 which is one of Samsung’s most popular mid-range budget phones. The launch date for Galaxy M31s hasn’t been confirmed yet but it will reportedly be by the end of this month. Galaxy M31s is also said to go on sale on August 6 via Samsung’s online store and Amazon India.
Ahead of the launch, we take a look at what we know about the Galaxy M31s so far.
Design
According to leaked renders of the Galaxy M31s, the smartphone will feature an L-shaped quad camera setup stacked vertically. The four rear cameras will be accompanied by an LED flash. Galaxy M31s is also spotted with a punch-hole camera placed at the centre. If we compare it with the Galaxy M31, the main difference would be on the notched display.
Specs
In terms of specifications, Galaxy M31s is expected to feature a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display. It will pack 6GB of RAM with 64GB and 128GB storage options. The smartphone could be powered by Samsung’s 9611 Exynos SoC. It will most likely come with a 6,000mAh battery.
Camera
The quad camera setup on the Galaxy M31s could be a combination of 64-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 5-megapixel + 5-megapixel sensors. For selfies, the Galaxy M31s is said to house a 32-megapixel camera.
Price
The Galaxy M31s will reportedly cost below ₹20,000. The Galaxy M31 starts at ₹17,499 for the base model with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. It also offers 8GB RAM and 128GB storage which costs ₹20,499.
