The Ice King, despite having a pointy nose the length of a bread knife and a sharp mouth Jaws would be proud of, clearly has a few unmet emotional needs, and is busily constructing a Garbage Princess out of the odds and ends left lying around by heroes Finn and Jake.
In fact, he's made off with everyone's trash from the Land of Ooo, and so it's up to the temeritous twosome to set things straight.
Adventure Time creator Pendleton Ward is working with games studio WayForward, which has turned its hand to everything from SpongeBob SquigglePants and Mighty Switch Force to Contra 4 and Aliens: Infestation.
A late fall release date sees it arrive not far behind Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse, while South Park: The Stick of Truth also looks a likely TV-to-game conversion companion.
