Apple iOS 13.5.5 beta reveals the company to be working on bundle subscriptions

There were reports from last year that Apple could be working on a bundled subscription that will include services from different apps like Apple Music, News and others. Although we haven’t heard anything about them since quite a while, a new report from 9to5 Mac has once again revived those claims. The latest hints for a bundled subscription was found in iOS 13.5.5 beta version. The strings of codes mention “bundle offer” and “bundle subscription” which were not there before.

These codes are said to be related to the management system of Apple’s own services. There can be two plus points for Apple if it introduces new bundle offers. First is that it will be able to deliver its services to masses at a lower rate, making more people subscribe to it, while second is that it will be Apple’s another way to bring a more deeper integration within its ecosystem. For now in the US, you get the Family Sharing combo of Apple News+, Apple Music and TV+ at $30 per month. This could be reduced further with the bundled subscriptions.

However, the bundle subscriptions might still take some time to reach end users. As reported by The Financial Times, Apple has renewed deals for Apple Music this year that doesn’t allow it to be bundled with any other feature. This however, is a subject to change by the end of this year.

Talking about iOS, a recent report pointed out that Apple’s iOS 13.5 that came out recently fixed a lot of bugs except for one that stopped all VPN apps on the device from encrypting user traffic. According to estimates, millions of users around the world could be at risk because of this vulnerability, ProtonVPN explained in a blog.
