Powerbeats Pro could be Apple’s new AirPods for sports enthusiasts

Rumours are still fresh on Apple releasing a Beats designed truly wireless headset. We now have an idea of how the 'Powerbeats Pro' wireless earbuds will look.

9to5mac discovered animations and images of the Powerbeats Pro in the newly released iOS 12.2 update. The wireless earbuds come with a charging case similar to Apple's AirPods. However, the Powerbeats Pro features a more sporty design resembling the Powerbeats3 minus the wired connectivity.

The wireless earbuds come with adjustable ear tips and over-the-ear clips for a more comfortable fit. The leak further reveals two colour options for the Powerbeats Pro - black and white. Apple is also expected to use the new H1 chip on the Powerbeats Pro as well. Similarly, the charging case on the Powerbeats Pro could also come with wireless charging capacity like the new AirPods. The charging case also comes with a Lightning port.

Apple launched the updated version of its AirPods last week. Powered by the new H1 chip, the updated AirPods or 'AirPods 2' also comes with a wireless charging case. The new AirPods also support 'Hey Siri' for launching the voice assistant which is also available on the Powerbeats Pro according to the leak. Apple is expected to launch the Powerbeats Pro next month.

The new AirPods will be available in India later this spring at a starting price of ₹14,900 with the normal charging case. AirPods with the wireless charging case will cost ₹18,900. Separately, the wireless charging case will be available at ₹7,500.
