Korean giant Samsung is reportedly prepping its own take on Apple's Live Photos we saw on the latest-gen iPhones. The feature is likely to debut with the forthcoming Galaxy S7, according to Android Geeks. The report adds that the feature will be dubbed either as Timeless Photos or Vivid Photos, though it won't capture any sound before the image is taken unlike Apple's which can grab 1.5 seconds of video and audio before and after an image is clicked. By doing away with sound, Samsung will allow users to share images clicked via the feature (Vivid Photos), directly onto networks like Facebook and Instagram as GIFs are already supported by most of them.

Hence, it appears Samsung is also ready to jump onto the Live Photos bandwagon. However, the feature is still being developed and is expected to arrive with the Galaxy S7 later as an upgrade, claims the report. The Galaxy S7 is certainly one of the most anticipated launches of the year, given the benchmarks set by its predecessor in terms of design and features. There has been an onslaught of rumors churning out online about what we can we can expect with the handset. Rumour also has it that, the smartphone will also feature a pressure sensitive screen similar to Apple's 3D Touch display. In addition, it is also expected to get the latest USB Type C connectivity, a fingerprint scanner along with a microSD slot.
