Smartron tbook flex 2-in-1 laptop launched in India, price starts at ₹42,990

Smartron on Friday launched its next-generation multifunctional "tbook flex" hyper-laptop in India. The two-in-one laptop will be available for ₹42,990 and ₹52,990 for the "m3" and "i5" versions, respectively, via Flipkart, starting May 13.

"tbook flex" has a lightweight body with a detachable backlit keyboard and houses a fast fingerprint scanner. "Its unique dual tone finish and a flixstand with a step-less hinge design and an ability to flex up to 150 degrees is what makes this laptop stand out," the company said in a statement. Designed especially for hybrids, Windows 10 on "tbook flex" automatically switches between laptop and tablet mode.

The device is also equipped with "Thunderbolt" 3 USB-Type C port that enables users to transfer data at rates up to 40Gbps. The laptop comes with a type-C fast-charging in colour variants of dual tone orange-grey and black grey. Other connectivity features include 2 x USB 3.0, 1 x SD Memory Card Slot, 1 x Type C USB Thunderbolt 3, and 1 x Type C USB ports. Wireless connectivity options include 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Dual Band (2.4 Ghz and 5.0 Ghz), Intel WiDi (WiFi Direct), and Bluetooth 4.0.

The Smartron tbook flex has a 12.2-inch WQXGA display with 2560x1600 pixels resolution, a multi-touch display with stylus support. It has a 2-megapixel front-facing camera and 5-megapixel rear-facing camera. Other important features of the laptop include, dual mic and powerful speakers with noise cancellation.
