Google Photos will stop offering free storage next year

Google Photos will not support free storage for high quality (compressed) photos from June 1, 2021. All photos and videos backed up post this date will be added to the free 15GB storage that comes with every Google account. You will still have all your photos and videos backed up on Google Photos, and you can upload for free till the deadline next year. Also, this does not affect Google Pixel users even after the June 1, 2021 deadline. 

PUBG Mobile India announced with some tailored features

PUBG Corporation and KRAFTON today announced the launch of PUBG MOBILE INDIA. The new title is said to be made specifically for the Indian market. The in-game content will be improved and tailored to reflect local needs while various aspects of the game will be customized for Indian gamers. 

WhatsApp starts rolling out disappearing messages to beta users

WhatsApp beta users on Android can start using the new feature. It’s slowly rolling out and available with WhatsApp beta version 2.20.206.9. Since it’s a slow rollout, it may take time to reach all beta users. Once enabled, messages sent to that particular chat will disappear after seven days.

Nokia 6300 4G, 8000 4G feature phones launched with Google Assistant & WhatsApp

HMD has introduced two new feature phones, Nokia 6300 4G and Nokia 8000 4Gin select markets around the globe. While the 6300 4G is available for a global average retail price of 49 EUR (roughly  ₹4,300), the 8000 4G feature phone comes at 79 EUR (roughly  ₹6,900).

Samsung launches its 5nm Exynos 1080 processor with 144Hz refresh rate support and more

The chipset is said to be for mid-range handsets and is said to be the company’s first that uses 5nm EUV FinFET technology. It is being said as the successor to Exynos 980. The Exynos 1080 CPU has eight cores with triple cluster design. The cores included are four Cortex-A78 and four Cortex-A55 units.

Twitter’s upcoming feature to filter graphic media in your DM

Twitter is testing a new feature that will help filter graphic media shared in your Direct Messages (DM). Spotted by reverse engineer Jane Manchun Wong, the filter appears with a toggle button to enable/disable the graphic content, most likely photos and videos.

Snapchat launches new lenses, stickers and filters for Diwali

Snapchat has launched a series of lenses on the occasion of Diwali. The new lenses have been created by Snapchat’s Official Lens Creators from the US, Italy, Russia, Lithuania, Morocco and Nepal. Snapchat users globally can start using the festive lenses.
