We come again with a list of 5 PC games that you should be on the look out for. So fasten your seat belts as we blitz through this list of awesome.
Mass Effect 3
No we won't count this in our top 5 list, since its almost here. Yup! The third and final installment in the Shepard trilogy finally releases on March 6th.
The Reapers have finally launched their invasion and the galaxy is on the verge of total annihilation. Taking over with your decisions from previous games, you as Commander Shepard will decide the future of planets and races - which survive and which die out as you rally the galactic forces to eliminate the threat forever.
The installment adds co-op multiplayer missions to the franchise alongwith BioWare's superior story-telling and near-perfect RPG detail.
Prototype 2
Set for an April 24 release, this sequel promises to be a radical change from the original sequel. The protagonist from the original game Aex Mercer is the villian in this sequel, while James Heller, a new hero, is taking revenge on Mercer for killing his family in the original game.
The sequel begins 14 months after the original. Manhattan now has been quarantined and New York City is suffering from the Blacklight virus. Mercer rules the city, especially in his borrough of the Red Zone, while Heller wants to eradicate the virus and kill Mercer. To do so, Heller can shapeshift, dodge enemies, rip off weapons out of vehicles, use a spider-man-like tendril and put his sonar sense to good use.
Max Payne 3
The sequel to one of the most popular shooter franchises out there, Max Payne 3 is set for a May 29 release. The game continues the story of Max Payne, an NYPD detective. This time, Max has left his traumatic past and moved on to Sao Paulo, where he works as private security protecting a wealthy industrialist.
The game builds on top of cinematic gunplay, with gritty action, realistic weaponry and an all new cover system. The game also introduces multiplayer to the franchise, bringing along a deep reward and leveling system, persistent clans, and multiple load outs.

Counter-Strike Global Offensive
The best shooter franchise ever gets a much needed upgrade. Yup! Counter-Strike Global Offensive is almost around the corner. Other than the obvious visual upgrade, CS:GO takes the classic team-based gameplay; adds new maps, characters, weapons; updates classic content, adds new game modes, and changes quite a lot of things and yet keeps the core game same.
The game adds new exciting multiplayer capabilities like matchmaking, brings along the steam achievements and Team Fortress-like unlocks system, official leaderboards and ranked games, taking the whole Counter-Strike experience a notch higher.
The game is expected to release in the first quarter of 2012. However, according to IGN's upcoming games list, we can expect some good news by as close as March 31st.
Diablo 3
Announced almost 4 years ago, Diablo 3 is finally ready to set the stage on fire. Blizzard's Hack-and-Slash RPG epic is set for a Quarter 2, 2012 release (pushed back from an early 2012 release).
The game begins 20 years afer the end of the previous game. Mephisto, Diablo, and Baal have been defeated, but the Worldstone that protected the inhabitants of Sanctary from the forces of heaven and hell has been destroyed. Evil, once again, stirs in Tristram and a new generation of heroes has to rise up to the challenge.
Await some gory hack and slash adventure fun. However, according to IGN's upcoming games list, we can expect some good news by as close as March 31st.
DOTA 2
Defence of the Ancients or DOTA evolved as one of the most popular mods of WarCraft 3, so much so that Blizzard made it a part of its arsenal in the RTS+RPG franchise. In DOTA 2, you control individual heroes from two warring factions, who battle each other in teams, leveling up in RPG fashion, but micro-managing resources in true RTS spirit.
Quite like Counter-Strike & Team Fortress, Valve hired the community developers who built the original DOTA to work on DOTA 2, which makes this as a fully qualified sequel and not just a marketing rip-off.
The sequel adds a whole range of new heroes, matchmaking and many other gameplay elements making the game into a self-contained titles, while maintaining the gameplay. The series also gets a visual upgrade, as it is now being developed in Valve's Source engine.
