WhatsApp Business app has received a new update that lets users sync their Facebook page details. This feature is available on WhatsApp Business app for iOS and Android.
First spotted by Android Police, what this feature does is WhatsApp Business users who have an existing Facebook page can sync details directly now. This feature also lets WhatsApp Business users run ads on Facebook which will directly link to WhatsApp when clicked on.
How to do it
WhatsApp Business users need to first ensure their app is updated to the latest version from Google Play and App Store. After this, open the settings menu on the WhatsApp Business app and choose ‘Linked Accounts’. Here you’ll have the option to open Facebook and link the existing page.
You also have the option to choose more than one category for your business. You can do this by going to Settings > Business Profile > Edit Profile > Categories. Here you’ll find different labels to choose from like apparel and clothing, automotive service and education. You can also search for the category you wish to select.
WhatsApp Business app launched back in 2018 with the iOS app arriving last year. Facebook’s deal with Jio led to the pilot launch of JioMart which lets users order groceries and essentials from neighbourhood stores. More such developments are expected from WhatsApp Business soon.
