Battlegrounds Mobile India, the successor to the popular PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (or PUBG Mobile India) that was banned by the Indian government last year, has had an impressive run so far. Just over a month after the popular Indian avatar of the game was released on the Google Play Store, BGMI downloads have now crossed the 50 million mark on Google Play Store.

The game's developer Krafton has been giving away rewards to players in the game as it continues to rake up more downloads on the Play Store. Battlegrounds Mobile India players have now received a Galaxy Messenger Set which is a permanent addition to their library. The company is also running an Independence Day Mahotsav in the game that is live until August 19, after the Freedom Face-Off event that was held on August 15. Gamers can gain access to an AWM skin which is a temporary item in the game, according to the company.
