Call of Duty: Warzone and Black Ops Cold War to get season 4 today: Here are all the details
A major gaming event has just closed, but there is no stopping the enormous momentum it has given to the gaming world. New and exciting things are being announced and rolled out virtually daily. Latest news is about Call of Duty: Warzone. It is one of the most successful games released by Activision in recent times, crossing a whopping 100 million active players in April.
The game offers three modes and allows multiplayer combat with up to 200 players in some game modes, and allows games to be played together across PC, Xbox and PlayStation gaming consoles. Activision has now announced the arrival of Call of Duty: Warzone season 4 and Black Ops Cold War season 4, and it all happens today.
Call of Duty: Warzone season 4: New Ground Fall event, weapons and rewards
For starters, the new season adds a new event called “Ground Fall”, event that will allow gamers to gain exclusive rewards – they can do this by achieving objectives specific to the new event, such as collecting calling cards, and emblems. This will grant them blueprints to an Epic secondary weapon that Activision says is “truly out of this world”. The season introduces new guns as well, including the MG 82 LMG, C58 Assault Rifle and Nail Gun Special/SMG which will be available today, while the Mace and OTs 9 SMG will arrive later.
Call of Duty: Warzone season 4: Updated maps and new game modes
Meanwhile, new points of interest are coming to the Verdansk ‘84 map on Call of Duty: Warzone and the satellites falling in the game's trailer are a good indication of what to expect. Gamers will likely be expected to look through the crash locations as part of the new Ground Fall event. The map will gain two new modes: Payload, which makes players escort caravans past checkpoints, while a new Verdansk Resurgence Mini game mode will bring a new Resurgence timer, special supply boxes and much more. Other maps coming to the Call of Duty: Warzone season 4 game include Collateral and Collateral Strike, Amsterdam, Hijacked and Rush.
Call of Duty: Warzone season 4: New operators mysterious Verdansk Red Doors
Players will get three new operators in Call of Duty: Warzone season 4, including Jackal: Warsaw Pact, Salah:NATO and Weaver:NATO. Jackal will launch this week, while the others will arrive at a later stage. At this point, no one really knows what the game's new Red Doors will bring, but going by the details on the company's own post announcing the feature, it looks like these doors could be used to “teleport” across the map, which could come in very useful. For example, the official site says: “They allow you to [[REDACTED]] around the [[REDACTED]]. What's behind them? Explore and enter them to [[REDACTED]] across the [[REDACTED]].” which suggests players will be able to enter these doors to travel to another point on the map.
Call of Duty: Warzone season 4: New Dirt Bike and Outbreak region
Gamers will also be able to access a speedy new vehicle with the arrival of Call of Duty: Warzone season 4 on the Verdansk map. This means those who are able to gain access to the new Dirt Bike while playing will be able to cross wide stretches of the terrain at great speeds, which will save time. Of course, gamers will also have access to skins for customising the bike in the game as well. Season 4 will also introduce a new Outbreak region in the Ural mountains where uses will have to deal with zombies after they take over a zoo.
Season 4 of Call of Duty: Warzone and Black Ops Cold War goes live today, which means players should be able to see all the above features as long as they have the latest version of the game installed on their devices.
