According to data shared by the Center for Near-Earth Object Studies (CNEOS),  Asteroid 2016 LY48 is on a trajectory towards the Earth at a rapid speed of 38928 kilometres per hour and is scheduled to make its nearest approach to the planet on September 16, 2023.
