Google Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro: What we know about the specs so far

Over the last week, we’ve seen renders of the Pixel 6 and the Pixel 6 Pro doing the rounds of the internet. Shared by two different sources, Jon Prosser and OnLeaks in collaboration with 91Mobile) both the sets of render are pretty much identical and show off the upcoming Pixel 6 and the Pixel 6 Pro. Going by the renders we know some details about devices, including the fact that the Pixel 6 is going to come with dual cameras on the back with the Pixel 6 Pro will have three.

Besides 91Mobiles, Digit also partnered with OnLeaks (Steve H. McFly) to share renders of the Pixel 6 Pro. Similar to the ones shared by Prosser, the Google Pixel 6 Pro sports a dual-tine back (orange and white) with the unique camera island in the middle, and the ‘G’ logo in a matching orange right in the middle. You can spot three cameras on the back of the Pixel 6 Pro and one of them is expected to be a periscope lens. For selfies, the front camera is placed in a punch-hole in the middle of the display instead of the left corner.

The Pixel 6 Pro is expected to come with a 6.67-inch curved AMOLED display with a fingerprint sensor underneath. The three cameras on the back, a first for Google, are expected to include a primary wide-angle camera, a periscope telephoto camera, and one more. The Pixel 6 Pro is expected to come with dual stereo speakers on the top and the bottom. The Pixel 6 Pro is expected to be powered by an in-house processor.

On the other hand, the Pixel 6 sports the same design as the Pixel 6 Pro but it is going to come with two cameras instead of 3. The screen on the Pixel 6 is being tipped to be a smaller 6.5-inch and flat instead of the curved AMOLED, the Pixel 6 Pro is expected to have. Besides this, the other features on the Pixel 6, like the front camera placement, in-display fingerprint sensor, wireless charging support, etc are the same as the Pixel 6 Pro. The Pixel 6 should have bottom-firing stereo speakers. Both the smartphones should run Android 13 out-of-the-box and sport USB Type-C ports.
