Microsoft has reportedly announced two new special editions of its Lumia 830 and 930 smartphones which offer the same specifications as its predecessor but comes with the traditional bold colours replaced with black and white backs and an 'anodized gold' finish.
Although Microsoft has been quite late in joining the gold trend, yet it has pulled off an impressive trick by providing the two devices a lustrous makeover without making them look tacky, reported The Verge.
The gold trim set against a glossy black and white back does look stylish on both the devices and the Nokia logo, picked out in gold, on the rear of the devices also looks pretty tasteful, the report said.
This will most likely be the last time Microsoft releases a Nokia -branded mobile.
Lumia 930 will be available in black this week and in white towards the end of January. The 830, on the other hand, will be available in both colours from February.
Microsoft has not disclosed the prices so far.
