Online gaming is fun, but a few cheaters can spoil the gamezone! Even the banning is not the final solution for the cheater, as they can create another account with a different ID. Cheaters are always in search of new ways to exploit the game. Though some have succeeded, many have not. But what is for sure is to end the game of these cheaters. For now, at least Call of Duty true gamers got the hack to deal with these cheaters. How? Call of Duty developers has given the power to the honest players in COD Warzone with a new 'Damage Shield' in Ricochet anti-cheat software which makes the cheater's bullets of no use as it will bounce off you.

If you are wondering how you can get this shield, then the answer is simple. The Damage shield will automatically deploy on you when the game server will detect any hacker or cheater in the game. As soon as the server knows about the cheater, it will automatically disable their ability to pose any critical damage on other players. This will leave cheaters vulnerable to real players and will allow the RICOCHET team to collect information about the cheater's system. Even this has seen a significant effect as the Call of Duty developers mentioned in a blog post that, “with the global rollout of the RICOCHET Anti-Cheat kernel-level driver on PC, Call of Duty: Warzone saw a significant drop of in-game cheat reporting.”

How does the COD server will know about the cheaters

RICOCHET Anti-Cheat uses data to detect cheating behaviour of the player and make ban waves more effective. As they collect data from machines determined to be cheating, its primary goal is to ensure that cheaters are not taking wins from the deserving game community. Developers will track these interactions to guarantee that the game does not apply a Damage Shield at random or by error to anyone. Call of Duty developers Activision said in the blog post that “We will never interfere in gunfights between law-abiding community members.” Damage Shield is already out of testing and can be used across the globe in Call of Duty.
