Fortnite Season 7: All you need to know about the alien spaceship and the live event countdown
Fortnite, just like every other popular battle royale game like PUBG Mobile, Battlegrounds Mobile India, Apex Legends, Garena Free Fire, Call of Duty Mobile, follows a season format for the game content, with a different theme for each successive season. The current season 7 is about to end, and developer Epic Games has been gearing up for the next big event, which is expected to take place on August 6. We have recently reported the presence of a massive alien spaceship in Fortnite hovering above the centre of the island that was flashing a mysterious countdown timer that indicated an end date of August 6. This is when gamers are expecting to see Epic Games launch the next season of Fortnite, along with new content that is expected to accompany the game.
According to a report by Inverse, many data miners in the Fortnite community have been talking about the new season and how the map might change over the next few days. It is rumoured that the next season of Fortnite could feature the alien spaceship abducting the Corny Complex, Slurpy Swamp and Coral Castle with a beam that is popularly depicted in many alien movies.

However, whether there will be alien battles in the game is yet to be determined, as Fortnite tself has previously posted this to their blog: “An unusual Alien ship is hovering over The Aftermath… The IO says “unusual” because its intent doesn't seem to be for harm. It's predicted its purpose will become clearer in the near future.” Meanwhile, the report also points out that the Superman Battle Pass skin is still not available and is expected to arrive around August 12, a week after the countdown ends. However, it is important to note that these are simply speculations by the data miners and all will be revealed on August 6 by Epic Games.
Fortnite's major events are a smart way for the developer to quickly edit the game's map and terrain with an accompanying storyline. Last year, the company's ‘The Device' event simply blew up The Agency, a building in the centre of the island, which was replaced with a new building called The Authority. Similarly, Fortnite also featured a wild black hole event, which sucked up everything including the game, until the new season arrived.
