PS4, Xbox One gamers are reporting major glitches on Cyberpunk 2077
Glitches on the newly launched Cyberpunk 2077 have been reported by PS4 and Xbox One gamers already.
CD Projekt Red's much-awaited open world RPG Cyberpunk 2077 has finally launched and the game is available for purchase and play on PlayStation and Xbox and also PC. However, while excitement has been running high, players on older gen consoles have been reporting about “extremely unoptimised experience” on the PS4 and Xbox One and even the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.
According to Polygon, gamers have gone online to report massive glitches, frame rate issues etc on Cyberpunk 2077 while playing it on PS4 and Xbox One consoles. It is not clear though if all the people reporting glitches on launch day are playing the game with the day zero patch since many gamers did find workarounds to play the game earlier than it was officially rolled out in their area by changing the time zone on their consoles.

Polygon has also reported that they have watched almost a dozen Cyberpunk 2077 livestreams on PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One and Xbox One X consoles on launch day itself. Reports have it that these livestreams included crashes, choppy gameplay, freezes and “strangely geometric NPCs” etc.

Some of the user reports on social media are from people who were not using the day one patch and as per reports, technical glitches of some sort seem to exist on all versions of older consoles as seen on Twitch and YouTube livestreams.

Additionally, gamers on Reddit have also been reporting the same issues. In all this though, PC gamers have not reported any issues and early reviewers were only given the PC code of Cyberpunk 2077.
During one of the Xbox One streams, Polygon reports that they saw a player complain because a car appeared out of nowhere, causing them to crash. Another player Xbox One had to restart their game after trying to fast forward through dialogues and this happened more than once during a single broadcast. The game also seems to struggle the most when running during open-world segments, according to Polygon.
Fix the game on base Ps4 consoles please. What is that 720p resolution? Frame drops , blurry visuals, crashes ! What the hell guys. This game ruined our experience and no doubt it's gonna worst experience ever pic.twitter.com/5GElsWbOuD— buggy_pubk_2077assshit (@delaypubk2077) December 10, 2020
Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt Red has not responded to any questions about these glitches. This does not look good for the developers who had said that the game was ready for PS4 and Xbox One back in November and that they were working on perfecting the game for next gen consoles.
Cyberpunk 2077 has been launched at ₹3,499 for PlayStation and Xbox consoles and is priced at ₹2,999 for PC in India. Gamers can also buy the Cyberpunk 2077 disc for ₹3,999 for Xbox and PlayStation and the PC game disc for ₹2,499 on Amazon.
