Thomson launches new coolers, washing machine in India

The new air coolers come at a starting price of ₹5,999.

Thomson on Tuesday launched a new series of air coolers in India. The newly launched home appliance category includes three models. One with a capacity of 50L, the other with a capacity of 70L and a third variant with a capacity of 90L. These models are priced at ₹5,999, ₹7,999 and ₹9,499 in India. They will go on sale in the country starting April 1 on Flipkart.

As far as the features are concerned, Thomson's air cooler model with a capacity of 50L comes with an air throw of 30-feet. While the models with a capacity of 70L and 90L come with an air throw of 40 feet. All three models come with the company's smart cool technology.

They feature a honeycomb pad, an overflow outlet and water level indicator and multiple modes for fan speed, cooling and swing control.

In addition to this, the company also launched a new semi-automatic washing machine in India. It offers a capacity of 7Kgs and is priced at ₹7,499. It is available in India in White, Blue and Grey colour variants.

As far as the features are concerned, it comes with a motor with a capacity of 1,400rpm and a dryer with a capacity of 4.5kg. It is made of ABS material and offers multiple wash modes. Additionally, it comes with a lint filter. There is no word on the availability yet.
