Whether you use a smartphone or a dumb phone, spam calls are a staple part of your life. They either come from some bank, or some insurance firm but they are simply hindrances that nobody likes. Hence, just like most people, you would also look for ways to block spam calls on your phone. Good thing is that if you use an Android smartphone, this is a fairly easy process. Android smartphones, among any things, let you easily block spam calls and here is what you need to do.

The process to block Spam calls is fairly easy on Android phone, especially if you have the Google Phone app installed. In most modern-day smartphones from any brand, the Google dialler comes pre-installed as the default dialler app. This may appear to be a simpler version of dialler apps but it is loaded to the teeth with several useful features, one of which is the spam call blocking feature.

Block Spam calls automatically: Here is how

In order to let your Android phone block all spam calls automatically, these steps are necessary. Note that you don't need to download any third party app for the same

-Open the Google Phone app and tap on the menu icon from the top-right corner.

-From here, you need to tap on the Settings option.

    - The Settings menu opens up several options, but the “Caller ID and Spam” feature is what we are looking for.

-Once you tap on it, you get to see three options. The first option is enabled by default, which will show yo the caller and spam ID on the screen while receiving a phone call.

    - The next one is the “Filter Spam Calls”. Enabling this option will allow you to prevent suspected spam calls from disturbing you.

-Note that the app will only consider those callers as spam that have been marked by other Google Dialler users as spam. Those numbers that don't have spam marked on them will continue to arrive on your phone.

-However, note that the spam calls option may often block calls that deliver your OTP, or maybe from an important source. Hence, you will need to keep this in mind.
