Today, a long list of countries are on the quest to explore the moon. After the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3, the hopes of various space agencies have gone up. Now ISRO is on its next moon mission called Chandrayan-4 or LUPEX mission. This time ISRO is carrying out this mission in collaboration with JAXA, the Japanese space agency. (REUTERS)

Through the Chandrayaan-4 mission, ISRO and JAXA are also aiming to improve the technology needed to explore the surface of low-gravity celestial bodies so that they can support future activities on the Moon's surface. These technological advancements consist of technology for mobility, lunar night survival, and mining excavation. (Pixabay)

The Chandrayaan-4 mission also aims to investigate the quantity and distribution on the lunar surface and below ground. The mission will also investigate in which form the water exists on the moon such as the level of mixing with dry regolith (small particles). (AFP)

The other objective of the Chandrayaan-4 mission is to study the evolution of water on the lunar surface into how water on the lunar surface evolved and to gain insights into the Moon’s environment. If this mission is carried out successfully, it can be a huge stepping stone in the field of space exploration programs.  (PTI)
