Watch | Microsoft unveils first laptop, smartphones and much more

Microsoft has announced a lineup of new hardware — including its first laptop, Surface products, a wearable and smartphones at its massive New York event on Tuesday. All of Microsoft's launches were aimed at the productivity mantra spelled by its chief executive Satya Nadella who has been supporting a “mobile first and cloud first” approach. Starting with its Lumia range of smartphones, three new models named Lumia 950 XL, Lumia 950 and the Lumia 550 were launched at prices of $649, $549 and $139 respectively. The company also launched its new wearable device called the Microsoft Band 2 at a price of $249 which will become available by the end of the month. It can work not only as a fitness device but also as a proper extended device making it a stiff competitor for the Apple iWatch. Microsoft also released its first laptop - the Surface Book. It is a high-end laptop computer with a screen that measures 13.5 inches. It features a 6th generation Intel Core processor, 16GB DDR5 RAM, 1TB of on-board storage, and a 12-hour battery life. An updated version of the Surface Pro 3 (logically called the Surface Pro 4), is a tablet-laptop hybrid is a 12.3-inch device that supports up to 16GB RAM and 1TB on-board storage. Microsoft also pushed Windows 10 devices further with a version of its augmented reality headset called the HoloLens, would go on sale next year for $3,000.
