Fortnite 18.30 update: Cube Queen outfit, new mountain base and new War Effort

Fortnite 18.30 update: The wrath of the Cube Queen continues in Chapter 2 Season 8 of Fortnite, but the popular battle royale game has just added a large amount of content to the game with the latest 18.30 update that has just arrived in the game. The game’s servers are still down for maintenance at the time of writing this story, but they are expected to come online shortly. Here’s everything you need to know about the latest Fortnite 18.30 update.

The biggest new addition to the game arriving today is the new landmark near Catty Corner, the big door that has been sealed has now been opened in the latest update. It appears that the door was hiding an IO base and gamers can now enter the mountain base, but they will have a tough fight against Doctor Sloan and her guards, according to Epic Games. Meanwhile, the Cubes at the centre of the island have completed the next phase of the convergence, and gamers can visit the centre of the island to see what is coming next.

Meanwhile, gamers can now take part in the latest War Effort, which will allow two classic weapons back into the game. Gamers can visit donation stations across the island to “fund” their favourite weapon and “unvault” it, by choosing between the Boogie Bomb and the Combat Shotgun. The weapon that reaches 100% funded first, will be brought back to the game.

Those who have purchased the battle pass will also be able to access the Cube Queen outfit in the Battle Pass section after updating to the 18.30 version. Players will need to complete a set of quests set out by the Cube Queen which will grant them items from the Long Live the Queen Set which will be available starting at 9AM ET (6:30 PM IST) today, once the servers are back online.
