Lenovo Legion gaming phone latest leak suggests it will outperform other Snapdragon 865 phones

Lenovo’s Legion gaming smartphone has been rumoured and leaked for quite some time. We know it will be a powerful smartphone but a new leak suggests it will outperform other Snapdragon 865 phones.

This comes from a tipster Digital Chat station (via GSMArena) who suggests that the Lenovo Legion smartphone could be powered by an even faster version of the Snapdragon 865 SoC or its liquid cooling would add extra processing power. There’s no word on a ‘Plus’ version for the Snapdragon 865 as yet so it’s likely that the Lenovo Legion will be powered by the Snapdragon 865 chipset.

The smartphone is said to be equipped with a large heatsink and an active cooling fan. Rumours also suggest a 3D cooling tower structure and dual heat pipe partitions. So the Lenovo Legion smartphone’s extra processing power could stem from this aspect. It would also be the first gaming phone with this chipset provided it launches before the Asus ROG Phone 3.

More details on the Lenovo Legion gaming phone include ‘uEngine’, dual X-axis linear vibration motor, full symmetrical 65mm dual front speakers and support for 90W dual fast charging via a USB Type-C port. It is also expected to house a 5,000mAh battery.

Lenovo Legion smartphone is also said to come with UFS 3.0 storage, 144Hz display and run on Android 10 out-of-the-box. This would be Lenovo’s first gaming smartphone and under its Legion brand. There’s no official word on when it will launch.
