Facebook brings Carts to WhatsApp to make shopping easier

WhatsApp released a new in-app notification feature on its platform last week. Today the company released another feature called Carts that will make it easier for users to shop using its platform.

To give you a quick brief, Carts enable people to browse a catalog, select multiple products and send the order as they send a message to the business.

WhatsApp says that this feature is particularly beneficial to customers as they order multiple products from a business. It will also make it simpler for businesses to keep track of order inquiries, manage requests from customers and close sales.

Here’s how you can shop using Carts on WhatsApp:

Step 1: Open WhatsApp and go to the business profile of the business you’d like to order from.

Step 2: Tap on the Shopping button icon listed next to their names to access their catalogue.

Step 3: Once the catalog opens, browse through the products you’d like to order.

Step 4: Tap on the product you like.

Step 5: Tap ADD TO CART on product if you’d like to order. Alternatively, you can also tap MESSAGE BUSINESS if you’d like to ask a specific question about the product.

Step 6: Once you’ve successfully updated your cart, you can send it to the seller as a WhatsApp message.

Step 7: Once sent, you will be able to see the details of your order by tapping on the VIEW CART button in your chat window with the seller.

WhatsApp says that its newly launched Carts feature will be available across the globe starting today.

In addition to its Carts feature, WhatsApp also unveiled a new cart-themed sticker for its global Open for Business sticker pack that was launched earlier this year.
