You may not be able to use some Gmail recipes via IFTTT. The web service announced that due to Google's changes to its API ecosystem, some of the recipes will be impacted.
On its official blog, IFTTT said that on March 31, all Gmail triggers and the Create a draft action will be removed from IFTTT. However, the Gmail actions Send an email and Send yourself an email will remain intact.
Last year, Google announced changes to its developer tools to allow users more control over privacy permissions for their account data. As a result of the API lockdown, a lot of change to IFTTT's services was required.
The latest news comes shortly after Google announced it is going to shut down 'Inbox' application. Google is also planning to extend Spike email client to Android users. The service had been exclusive to iOS users so far.
"'Inbox' is shutting down. We are saying goodbye to 'Inbox' at the end of March 2019. While we were here, we found a new way to email with ideas like snooze, nudges, smart reply and more. That's why we have brought your favourite features to Gmail to help you get more done," reads the desktop message that pops up while logging into "Inbox".
