Microsoft Surface Hub 2S with 50-inch screen, Intel processor launched at ₹11,89,999

Microsoft has expanded its ‘Surface’ portfolio in India with the Surface Hub 2S. This digital whiteboard costs ₹11,89,999 excluding the stand from Steelcase that will separately cost ₹1,75,500.

The device built for team collaboration weighs 28 kgs, has a 50-inch PixelSense Display with 3840 x 2560 resolution, 3:2 aspect ratio and 10-bit colour. The product is powered by quad-core 8th-gen Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB RAM and 128GB SSD.The graphics is taken care by the Intel UHD Graphics 620. Besides the support for Microsoft Surface Hub 2 Pen, the Surface Hub 2S supports full range front facing 3-way stereo speakers, full band 8-element MEMS microphone array and a 4K camera for team meetings as well.

The Surface Hub 2S includes a doppler occupancy sensor, accelerometer and gyroscope. There’s also support for Wi-Fi 5 (IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac), Bluetooth Wireless 4.1 technology and Miracast Display. In terms of hardware connectivity, you get USB-A, Mini-DisplayPort Video Output, RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI video input, USB-C and DisplayPort Input, and an additional four USB-C ports.

The Surface Hub 2 4K camera has a 90-degree HFOV and features like anti flicker along with face based auto exposure. The Surface Hub2 Pen connects via Bluetooth 4.0 and has a Barrel button and tail eraser.

On the software side of things, the Surface Hub 2S comes with a fully integrated version of Windows 10 along with Microsoft Edge browser and Office apps.

The launch of Surface Hub 2S comes a couple of weeks after the arrival of Surface Pro X, Surface Pro 7 and Surface Laptop 3 in the Indian market. These new devices are available via authorized resellers, authorized retail and online partners at a starting price of ₹98,999, ₹72,999 and ₹98,999 respectively.
