WhatsApp to improve for iPhone users with these new features

WhatsApp has added new features to its beta app on iOS. The new WhatsApp features add more contacts shortcuts, voice over improvements, and a new chat bubble colour as well.

The latest features are available for WhatsApp’s public beta users. iPhone users can apply for the WhatsApp beta programme to experience unreleased features. The WhatsApp beta programme for iOS is currently full but users can check the TestFlight page for whenever a slot will be empty.

As spotted by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp has added more contacts shortcuts in this beta update. This essentially makes it easier to share files on WhatsApp directly from the iPhone’s share sheet. More options like your group chat or recently opened chat will be visible in the share sheet. It also shows the updated profile picture of that contact on WhatsApp.

In this beta update, WhatsApp has also improved support for Voice Over especially for the archive/unarchive chat feature. For dark mode, WhatsApp has added a new chat bubble colour. At present, there’s only the dark green chat bubble colour on WhatsApp. In this beta update, there’s a new light green chat bubble colour.

WhatsApp could introduce this new chat bubble colour to more users soon. It has so far added dark coloured wallpapers but there isn’t much customisation with dark mode on WhatsApp. These features are currently limited to WhatsApp beta users. But those who are on the stable version can try out new WhatsApp features like animated stickers, QR codes and more.
