WhatsApp on iPhone: Tell Siri to send your messages, calls- Know how

iPhone users can use Siri to send WhatsApp messages, make calls and read out unread messages.

WhatsApp is one of the most prominent and widely used applications across the globe. May it be an Android user or an iPhone user, the messaging application can be found on almost every smartphone. If you use WhatsApp on your iPhone then here is something interesting for you. How do you send messages to your contacts? By typing? Do you know that you can take help of Siri to send WhatsApp messages? Yes, Siri can also be used to place WhatsApp calls and read aloud your unread messages.

But what needs to be noted is that these features are available only on iOS 10.3 and later. For people who have not yet downloaded and installed WhatsApp on their iPhone can do so from the App Store. "Siri is a personal assistant built into iOS. You can ask Siri to send WhatsApp messages, place WhatsApp calls, or read aloud your unread WhatsApp messages. Note: These features are only available on iOS 10.3 and later," WhatsApp said.

Also, as per the information provided by the messaging application on its FAQ page, opening WhatsApp with unread messages will reset the notification badge. Siri will then interpret this as if there were no unread messages and therefore will not read them aloud.

Step 1:

Install WhatsApp on your iPhone.

Step 2:

Go to iPhone Settings.

Step 3:

Find the option saying Siri & Search click on it and turn on Listen for "Hey Siri" or Press Side Button for Siri.

Step 4:

iPhone SE (2020)and iPhone 8 and older: Turn on Press Home for Siri.

Step 5:

Scroll down and tap WhatsApp.

Step 6:

Turn on Use with Siri.

Step 7:

On iPhone X, XS, XS Max, and XR you can press and hold the side button > Turn On Siri.
