Help on WhatsApp to be available via Chats! Your issues answered within
WhatsApp Support will now answer all your queries via WhatsApp Chats. The feature is in testing right now.
WhatsApp Support to now function via WhatsApp chats! Going forward, WhatsApp will now answer and try to solve your queries from within the app itself via chats. You can still choose to take it via email but WhatsApp will try to get in touch with you via its chats by default. The feature was in testing early last year but WhatsApp eventually removed it from the beta versions of the app.
After almost a year, it seems that WhatsApp is now planning to bring back this feature for service support. Based on scoop from WABetaInfo, WhatsApp has already started testing the in-app support via WhatsApp Chats for iOS and certain Android testers as well. As always, WhatsApp does not reveal its features prior to launching them on any of its supported platforms.
WhatsApp Support to use WhatsApp chats
As part of this features, users can continue to reach out to WhatsApp Support via the Settings menu within the WhatsApp app. While filing your issues or complaints, WhatsApp will now inform that the Support team will respond in a WhatsApp Chat. You can also choose to have the discussion via Email.
Once you type in your issues, the WhatsApp Support team will reach out to you vi a verified Chat account. In this case, you could see WhatsApp Support with the verified green badge. This is to make it clear that it comes from the official WhatsApp Support Chat. If you receive texts from any other account pretending to be WhatsApp Support without the green badge, you should delete that immediately.
Note that the basic process remains unchanged. WhatsApp will continue to access some of your device information for diagnostic issues. Hence, when you contact WhatsApp Support, the app will collect data such as phone number, network information, WhatsApp app version, OS version and more. The data submission is, however, optional and you can choose to ignore it.
In other WhatsApp news, you can now send animated heart emojis but only on iOS devices. Whether you send your heart emoji in red, white, black, orange, green, blue and any of the colours, the heart emoji will imitate a heartbeat. Quite a nice touch ahead of the upcoming Valentines Week, isn't it?
