Apple iOS 14 public beta. (Apple)

Apple has made its first public beta of iOS 14 available for everyone around the globe. If you own an eligible iPhone, which means iPhone SE (first-gen) and later version, you too can download the beta version and experience new features right away. Although the public beta version is pretty stable, it is still not as stable as the final version and you may still face some bugs. This may force you to roll back to the official iOS 13 version. But then how do you do that? As it turns out, it is even more simple than installing the beta version. Here are the steps.

The easiest way to remove the public beta is to delete the beta profile, then wait for the next software update.

Step 1: Open the settings app in your iPhone that has iOS 14 public beta installed.
Step 2: Go to General tab.
Step 3: Tap on Profile.
Step 4: Tap on Remove. And that’s it.

Now you don’t have to do anything but wait for the next OTA update to arrive. Once it does, install it and your iPhone will be back to the non-beta version of iOS. If an update is already available, you can install it by going to Settings > General > Software Update. However, that version should be later than the version you already have.

In case you are not one of those who don’t want to wait for the iOS OTA to arrive, you can restore the device using the longer and more complex method using the Mac and iTunes.
