Lava Pulse feature phone with heart rate, blood pressure sensor launched, priced at ₹1,599

Indian handset company Lava International Limited has launched a new feature phone, Lava Pulse. The speciality of the feature phone is that it comes with a heart rate and blood pressure sensor.

Lava Pulse is said to be the first feature phone in the world to come with these features. The company claims Pulse’s sensor readings have accuracy similar to present electronic heart rate and blood pressure measuring digital devices.

User needs to place their fingertip on a ‘pulse scanner’ and the display will show their blood Pressure and heart rate immediately. Users also have the option to save this data on their phones for future reference and share with others through messages, the company added.

Lava Pulse price and availability

Lava Pulse is priced at ₹1,599. The feature phone is available in Rose Gold colour option. You can purchase the phone online via Amazon and Flipkart. It is also available across retail stores in the country.

Lava Pulse specifications and features

Lava Pulse features a 2.4-inch display. The feature phone comes with a polycarbonate body. It has a primary camera with video recording support. The phone is powered by a 1,800mAh battery. Lava claims a super battery mode helps the phone deliver up to 6 days of back up on a single charge. Lava Pulse comes with up to 32GB expandable storage support and 32MB RAM.

The new feature phone comes with stereo sound. Lava Pulse also features such as number talker, photo icons for saving contacts, wireless FM with recording and dual SIM support.

The phone also supports auto call recording. It enables users to type in 7 languages including English, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Gujarati and Punjabi.

Additionally, Lava is bundling a 1-year replacement service with the latest feature phone.
