Lava Z66 with stock Android, fingerprint sensor launched, priced at ₹7,777

Lava on Tuesday announced the launch of a new handset in India. Called Lava Z66, the phone is priced at ₹7,777. It comes in Marine Blue, Berry Red, and Midnight Blue colour options. This Made in India smartphone is currently available at offline stores and will soon be available on Amazon and Flipkart.

Lava Z66 comes with dual sim support (4G+4G), Bluetooth v4.2, OTG support, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The phone also has an array of sensors that includes an accelerometer, ambient light and a proximity sensor. Another highlight of the phone is that it runs on stock Android (Android 10). It also has a fingerprint sensor and supports a face-unlock feature.

The smartphone comes with a 6.08-inch HD+ display with 2.5D curved screen and 19:9 aspect ratio. It also a notch cut-out on the front to house a selfie camera.

For performance, the phone relies on a 1.6GHz octa-core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage. It also supports expandable storage up to 128GB via a microSD card. The handset draws power from a 3,950mAh battery which is said to deliver up to 16 hours of talk time.

In the camera department, Lava Z66 offers a 13-megapixel selfie camera. On the back, it has a dual-camera setup of 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors along with LED flash. The camera also supports beauty mode, night mode, HDR mode, burst mode, panorama, time-lapse, and slow motion.
