Lava launches ‘Proudly Indian’ limited edition phones, prices start at ₹1,333

Lava Mobiles has launched a new Proudly Indian portfolio ahead of Independence Day. The limited-edition phones come with tri-colour themed back cover. The company has also launched a special edition of Lava Z61 Pro in India. The Proudly Indian Lava phones are Lava A5 and Lava A9.

Lava A9 is a feature phone with a 2.8-inch QVGA display with a keypad featuring a dedicated button to launch flashlight. It has a 1,700mAh battery dual SIM slots, built-in Bluetooth and up to 32GB expandable storage option. The phone is available for ₹1,574.

Lava A5 is also a feature phone. It comes with a 2.4-inch QVGA display with dual SIM slots and 32GB expandable storage. It packs a 1,000mAh battery. The feature phone supports as many as 22 Indian languages. It is priced at ₹1,333.

The special edition of Lava Z61 Pro comes in champagne gold colour with a Proudly Indian logo on the back. It features a 5.45-inch HD+full view display. The phone is powered by a 1.6 GHz octa-core processor and houses a 3,100 mAh battery. The smartphone comes with a 2GB RAM and a storage capacity of 16 GB (expandable up to 128GB).

Lava Z61 Pro offers 8MP rear camera with LED flash and 5MP front camera. The phone runs on stock Android (Android 9).

On the connectivity front, the smartphone features Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi, GPS, dual-SIM, OTG support and a micro USB port. The smartphone is available for ₹5,777.
