WhatsApp shares its first monthly compliance report in India: Facebook-owned WhatsApp shared its first-ever monthly compliance report in India today. In its report, WhatsApp revealed that it banned a total of 2 million Indian WhatsApp accounts here between May 15, 2021, and June 15, 2021. Of these, 95% of these bans happened due to the unauthorised use of automated or bulk messaging or Spam. Asus launches four new Chromebook in India: Asus today forayed in the affordable PC market by launching four new Chromebooks. This lineup includes both the touch and non-touch variants. The Asus Chromebook Flip C214 costs ₹23,999, Chromebook C223 costs ₹17,999, Chromebook C423 is priced at ₹19,999 and Chromebook C523 is priced at ₹20,999, the Chromebook C423 is priced at ₹23,999 and the Chromebook C523 is priced at ₹24,999 in India. 

Vivo launched Y72 smartphone in India: Vivo today launched the Vivo Y72 5G smartphone in India. It is the company’s first Y-series smartphone to get 5G connectivity in India. It is priced at ₹20,990 in India. It is available in India via Vivo India e-store, Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm, Tatacliq, Bajaj EMI Store and partner retail stores across the country in Prism Magic and Slate Gray colour variants. 

Clubhouse launches a new Backchannel feature: Clubhouse today introduced a new feature called Backchannel on its platform. This new feature is now available for all Clubhouse users who have updated to the latest version of the app. This feature will allow users to use Clubhouse to send messages to other Clubhouse users on the app.

Twitter kills Fleets: Twitter launched Fleets, which competed with Instagram Stories, for its users last year. The company has now announced that it will shut down the Fleets feature after eight months on the platform. This change will come into effect on August 3.
