Flipkart DOWN on New Year, check current status

If you have been unable to place your order on Flipkart lately, you should hold on. Based on data from Downdetector, the Flipkart service went down on January 3 for a few hours and affected a substantial number of consumers looking to shop. The outage, however, last only for a few hours and Flipkart resumed operations ever since.

Flipkart services were down for around two hours on January 3, starting at 11:30 am, with services resuming just ahead of 2 pm in the afternoon. Disruption in service was observed mostly on the Flipkart website, followed by the app users. Flipkart did not comment on the reasons behind the service outage.

Several Flipkart users went on to social media, sharing snapshots of their account showing no data. Flipkart Support advised users to refresh and keep trying to keep using the services. However, the service was resumed within two hours and it had not affected a majority of consumers.

According to data obtained from Downdetector, the effects of the outage were most visible in Delhi, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Patna, Kolkata, Cuttack, Hyderabad, Indore, Ahmedabad, Vijayawada, Chennai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Mumbai, Nashik, Ahmedabad and Surat.

Since there was no Flipkart going on at the moment, it seems the service outage did not affect many consumers. As of January 4, all of Flipkart's services are functioning normally without any noticeable disruption.
