Genshin Impact 2.2 update: Tsurumi Island confirmed, take a look
Fans of the popular action-adventure game Genshin Impact will be treated to Tsurumi Island, a brand new region in the upcoming Genshin Impact 2.2 update, the developer miHoYo has reportedly revealed during a recent livestream about the 2.2 update. The new Tsurumi Island has been in the works for a while now, although gamers do not currently know exactly how large it is.
In a short trailer about the upcoming Genshin Impact 2.2 update, the developer miHoYo showed users images of Tsurumi Island. The images show the same Genshin Impact design elements, which suggest the addition will not be jarring. However, the lighting and general atmosphere of the game appears to be rather gloomy, just like the cloudy weather. Tsurumi Island has been abandoned for years, which makes it one of the better places for curious players to visit when it arrives next week.

Gamers will likely be able to visit Tsurumi Island once the Genshin Impact 2.2 update arrives, which will allow them to explore the area and complete quests and gain experience, Mora and Primogems. However, it is currently unknown whether the game’s apparent fog and cloudy environment will impede their progress like the colder areas on the map. It would certainly make for interesting combat while on Tsurumi Island.
According to reports, the biggest addition to the Tsurumi Island area will be the arrival of the Rifthound monsters. These creatures are expected to deal elemental damage and inflict corrosion while attacking gamers when they visit Tsurumi Island, so gamers must make sure they visit these areas with a healer. Players will have to wait until October 13, which is when the next update to Genshin Impact 2.2 is expected to be available.
