Grand Theft Auto 6: Rockstar Games is home to some of the most popular game titles such as Bully, Max Payne, Red Dead, Midnight Club -- and the fan favourite, Grand Theft Auto. After the company released GTA V, the last instalment of the game in September 2013, fans have been waiting for the next version, which is being referred to as Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 6 online. Last week, it was reported that Rockstar might release the game in 2025, two years later than what previous rumours had claimed. However, the interest in GTA 6 is so much that the current leaks have excited everyone concerned.

While we are still a long way off from seeing GTA 6 game in any form, some users on Reddit regularly post ‘screenshots' of the yet to be released game from Rockstar. As reported by MySmartPrice, a recent post has claimed to show a screenshot of the GTA 6 gameplay. The claim is that these screenshots are from an “early dev build” of the game, but it appears that they might not be genuine in the first place. Read on to know about the allegedly leaked screenshots of the upcoming GTA 6 game that were shared online and why they may not be real.

Suspect origin of the latest GTA 6 screenshot leak: According to MySmartPrice, the leak was posted by r/Robultz, a regular GTA Roleplaying gamer who took to Reddit to post an image, asking the community to debunk the images of the game. The report states that the Reddit user claimed to have received the images from a “high-ranked member” of the gaming channel. However, on the same thread, users have reportedly called out the claims that this is an early build of GTA 6. Some have even alleged that the screens and visuals look like another game - Cities: Skyline.

GTA 6 fake leaked photos: We have previously reported that YouTuber Tom Henderson had posted a video where he claimed GTA 6 is unlikely to arrive before 2025, which is a long way off from now. Henderson had claimed the developers were working on an open and evolving map, if he is right, then it seems rather unlikely that Rockstar Games would actually have a working build of the game even in the state indicated in those photos. Bloomberg reporter Jason Schrieier later backed Henderson's statement, when he said “Idk why everyone thinks that I said GTA VI was coming in 2023. Everything Tom Henderson has said about the game matches up with what I've heard."
