PS5 event: Here’s everything Sony announced last night
PS5 costs $499.99 ( ₹36,820 approximately), while PS5 Digital Edition costs $399.99 ( ₹29,451 approximately).
Sony hosted its PlayStation 5 event on late Thursday evening. At the event, Sony not only revealed the prices of PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition consoles but it also announced various accessories such as the PULSE 3D headset, Media Remote, DualSense Controller DualSense Controller Charging Station among others.
In addition to these, the company also gave us a glimpse of its upcoming gaming titles, which include Demon's Souls, Final Fantasy XVI and Marvel's Spider Man: Miles Morales among others.
So, here is everything that Sony announced last night:
PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition
Sony announced that PS5 will be available in seven key markets, which include the US, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea starting November 12 at a price of $499.99 ( ₹36,820 approximately). It will be available globally, starting November 19 in Europe, Middle East, South America, Asia and South Africa. PS5 with an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive will also be available for $499.99. It will be available for pre-orders starting today at select retailers.
PS5 Digital Edition, on the other hand, will be available for $399.99 ( ₹29,451 approximately).
Accessories
Apart from announcing the price and availability of PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition, Sony also launched a bunch of new accessories. While the DualSense Controller (standalone) will be available for $69.99 ( ₹5,151 approximately), the PULSE 3D headset will be available for $99.99 ( ₹7,360 approximately). Similarly, the HD Camera is priced at $59.99 ( ₹4,415 approximately), while the Media Remote costs $29.99 ( ₹2,207 approximately). Lastly, the company launched the DualSense Charging Station, which is priced at $29.99 ( ₹2,207 approximately)
Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales
As far as the gaming titles are concerned, Sony gave a glimpse of the Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which will be arriving on both PS5 and PS4. It will be available for $69.99 on launch day. Take a peek:
First Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Campaign
It will be available on PS5 starting November 13. PS4 users can get it via an exclusive Alpha weekend starting September 18. The exclusive Alpha weekend will end on September 20.
Demon's Souls
It will be available on PS5 at a price of $69.99. Sony hasn't specified anything about the availability on PS4 gaming consoles yet. Take a peek at the trailer:
Devil May Cry 5
This game will be available on PS5 at a price of $39.99 starting November. There is no word on the availability on PS4 yet.
Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach
Another game coming to PS5 is Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach. Steel Wool Studios hasn't announced the exact date of availability or pricing yet.
Hogwarts Legacy – Writing for the Wizarding World
Lastly, PS5 will also be getting Warner Bros' Hogwarts Legacy – Writing for the Wizarding World. There is no word on the pricing or availability yet but you can take a look at the trailer. Take a peek:
