VU launches Ultra-edge 4K TV range in India, prices start at ₹25,999

The VU TVs feature Pro Picture Calibration, which lets viewers tweak gamma correction, noise reduction, colour temperature, HDMI dynamic range and some other features.

VU today announced a new range of Ultra 4K TVs for the Indian market, the highlight of which is the Ultra-edge 4K display. The screen is said to have 40 % enhanced brightness, backlight controller, upbeat surround sound, Pro-picture Calibration and Parental Block features. The range includes TVs with 45-inch, 50-inch, 55-inch and 65-inch screen sizes with prices ranging from ₹25,999 to ₹48,999.

Beside the Ultra-edge 4K display, the VU TVs feature Pro Picture Calibration, which lets viewers tweak gamma correction, noise reduction, colour temperature, HDMI dynamic range and some other features for a customised viewing experience. It also has an Upbeat Surround sound feature for better audio. This comes in addition to built-in Dolby Audio & DTS Virtual X Surround Sound Technologies + 30Watt Box Speakers + Sports Mode. You also get Parental Block to control what the kids are watching on the TV.

Running Android 9 Pie, the VU Ultra-edge 4K TV features all the basic apps like Netflix, Prime Video, Hotstar, YouTube and gives access to all the compatible apps in Google Play. As for connectivity, there is support for Google ChromeCast, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi, HDMI CEC & ARC, and Vu ActiVoice Remote with voice search and Google Assistance.

Backed by a quad-core processor with Mali470MP, the TV includes 16GB storage and 2GB RAM.
