Here is an iPhone hack that will give you back a feature that you must have been missing - big time! The iPhone battery status bar is important for any device, which lets you know how much life is left in your smartphone, tablet or laptop. But when Apple introduced the iPhone X, which came with an all-screen front and a small notch, it killed the battery status bar, which means battery percentage icon that you relied on so much, disappeared. Even with the launch of later models, iPhone XS, iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 12 series and the latest iPhone 13 too, battery percentage option was missing. The good news is that you can still bring the battery status bar to your iPhone, despite the fact that Apple removed it from all its latest devices. Wondering how? Here are a few tips and tricks for you.

How to show battery percentage on your iPhone

  • Use Control Centre

The simplest and easiest way to check your percentage status is by using the Control Centre. When your iPhone is locked, simply swipe down from the top-right corner which will bring the Control Centre along with the battery percentage bar.

  • Apple says Home Screen Widget is a hack!

Apple introduced home screen widgets with the iOS 14 and iOS 15 is still carrying the same. Through this, you can add a battery percentage widget. To do so:

- first, touch and hold the Home Screen background until the apps begin to jiggle.

- Then, tap on the + icon at the top of the screen, and scroll down to Batteries.

- You can swipe left and right through the widgets to view the size options.

- Once you set the size, tap Add Widget, then tap Done.

  • Add widgets to Today View

Another way is to add widgets to the Today View. You will need to touch and hold a widget or an empty area in Today View until the apps jiggle and then click on the add button via the + icon in the upper-left corner. After that, scroll down to select a widget, then choose from three widget sizes, click on Add Widget and then finally tap Done.

  • Siri is your friend!

Siri is your that talkative friend who can tell you everything! Even the battery percentage too. You will need to just ask, “Hey Siri! What is my phone battery percentage?” And Siri will tell you. As simple as that.
