Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 1, 2022 released the 10th installment of financial benefit under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme via video conferencing, making the new year eve much more special for the farmers. The release of the 1oth installment enabled the transfer of an amount of more than ₹20,000 crore to more than 10 crore beneficiary farmer families. During the programme, the Prime Minister also released equity grant of more than ₹14 crore to about 351 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), which will benefit more than 1.24 lakh farmers.

PM Modi also interacted with FPOs during the event. Speaking at the event he said that PM Kisan Samman Nidhi is a big support for India's farmers. "If we include today's transfer, more than 1.80 lakh crore rupees have been transferred directly to the accounts of the farmers," he said. It can be noted that under the PM-KISAN scheme, a financial benefit of ₹6000 per year is provided to the eligible beneficiary farmer families, payable in three equal 4-monthly installments of ₹2000 each.

The fund is transferred directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. The PM Kisan installment scheme provides income support to all landholding farmers' families in the country to supplement their financial needs for procuring various inputs related to agriculture and allied activities as well as domestic needs.

Farmers can check if they have received the amount or not online by visiting PM Kisan official website or by downloading the PM Kisan Application on their smartphone.

How to check PM Kisan 10th installment status via official website

Step 1: Go to the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi website at pmkisan.gov.in.

Step 2: Click on the 'Beneficiary Status' tab present on the home page.

Step 3: Select either of the options - Aadhaar number, Account number, or Mobile number.

Step 4: After choosing the selected option, click on 'Get Data'.

Step 1: Download the PM Kisan Mobile Application. For that go to the official website of PM Kisan or click on the link- https://pmkisan.gov.in/.

Step 2: From the Farmers Corner available on the right side of the homepage click on 'Download PMKISAN Mobile App'. However, You can also directly go to the Google Play store on your Android device and type PM Kisan App and can download it from there as well.

Step 3: Similar to the official website, using the PM Kisan Mobile Application, beneficiaries can register themselves, know the status about their registration and payments, correct name as per Aadhaar, know about the scheme and can dial helpline numbers.
