If you use WhatsApp view once feature to send photos and videos to your contact then the media will not be saved to the receivers Photos or Gallery. Once you send a view once photo or video, you will not be able to view it again. You cannot forward, save, star, or share photos or videos that were sent or received with view once media enabled. Also, you can only see if a recipient has opened a view once photo or video if they have read receipts turned on.

1. Open WhatsApp on your Android device or iPhone.

2. Open an individual or group chat.

3. Tap Attach, then tap: Camera to take a new photo or video with your camera. Gallery to select an existing photo or video from your phone.

4. Tap 1.

5. Tap Send. You will see an opened receipt in the chat once the recipient has viewed the photo or video.

Swipe or tap Back to exit the media viewer.

You will see an opened receipt in the chat for media you have already viewed. Once you exit the media viewer, you cannot view the media again or report the media to WhatsApp, and it will not be saved to your camera roll.
